# What is Kerem Shalom?

Kerem Shalom is the main southern goods crossing into Gaza. It has come under rocket fire. When it closes, aid stops until another gate opens.

Israeli aid summaries note rocket fire on the crossing, and some OCHA write-ups do not mention it. Israeli sources say a gate closed after a rocket is not a “total blockade.”
